CheGoChe is an automated Go (Weiqi) board that can autonomously add and remove game pieces, enabling remote play, playing against AI, and more! This project was developed for the Build 18 Hackathon at Carnegie Mellon University, in collaboration with Shane Deng, Anthony Kyu, and Juan Luis Vasquez Navarrete.

Originating in China, Go! is an abstract strategy board game where players take turns placing pieces on a grid. The goal of the game is to surround the other player’s pieces to capture them. The game ends when both players pass, one has more captures, or one surrenders.
